For students aged 12 to 17 seeking an enriching adventure, we've put together an action-packed schedule of activities that will keep you busy and entertained from start to finish. Each week offers a unique set of adventures, from walking tours and museum visits to shopping and even optional tennis coaching. You won't want to miss some of the programme’s standout highlights, like our visit to the world-famous Madame Tussauds wax museum and a breath-taking Thames River Cruise with a stop at the beautiful Greenwich Park. And if that's not enough, we've also arranged day trips to some of England's most unforgettable destinations, including Oxford, Windsor, and Portsmouth. Don't worry, though – we've saved the last day of the programme for a final round of unforgettable adventures before you head back home. So come along and explore all that London has to offer with us this summer!

 

 

Explore the UK and make new friends

 

London and the UK are rich with history, culture, and natural beauty. A study holiday is a perfect opportunity for kids to explore all the wonders of London and the UK. Wimbledon School of English's Junior Programme offers a unique opportunity for young learners to improve their English language skills while discovering the sights and sounds of London. The programme includes English language courses most mornings and various activities and excursions in the afternoons and weekends. Students will have the chance to visit iconic landmarks such as the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, and the British Museum, all while improving their English language skills. Additionally, students will have opportunities to explore the countryside, visit quaint villages, and experience diverse cultural events. The programme also offers a safe and supportive environment for students to practise their English skills while making new friends from around the world. A study holiday in the UK could be an unforgettable experience for kids – enriching their lives while improving their English language abilities.

 

 

Children from different parts of the world can attend classes in the morning, and then participate in exciting cultural and social activities in the afternoon.

At Lord Wandsworth College, in 2023, the course includes 3 full day excursions each week.

In Wimbledon, in 2023, we include four half-day visits to central London, as well as one evening out in the city centre and a full-day excursion every week.

 

 

 

From visiting national landmarks like Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and the Tower of London, to sampling traditional English foods like fish and chips and scones, to engaging in fun activities like international parties, tennis, and having a meal out together in a restaurant, there's never a dull moment on a study holiday in the UK. Plus, making new friends from all around the world is an excellent way to develop communication, collaboration, and intercultural skills that will last a lifetime.

Our WSE Juniors in Wimbledon course is for students aged 14 - 17 years old and is available from Sunday 25th June to Sunday 13th August 2023. This English course for juniors is located in beautiful premises in the heart of Wimbledon. This exciting Wimbledon-based programme combines the study of English with other topics and includes daily visits to the centre of London.

 

 

Our Junior Summer Centre at Lord Wandsworth College is for 12 - 17-year-olds and is open from Sunday 9th July to Saturday 5th August 2023.  The college is situated on the border of Hampshire and Surrey, an hour and 30 minutes outside of Central London, and is surrounded by 500 hectares of beautiful English countryside.
