Last year, we published a blog post about the EL Gazette Centres of Excellence and Wimbledon School of English was the top-ranked English language school in the UK. We are delighted to announce that one year later, we are still the only school in the UK have received 15 strengths in a British Council inspection. This is a perfect score, meaning we exceeded expectations in every single area of the inspection.
Why is this score so important?
With so many English language schools claiming to offer high quality, it can be difficult to differentiate between one and the other. Every British Council accredited school is given a score at the end of their inspection so comparing these scores is the best way to compare quality.

- Academic staff profile
- Academic management
- Care of students
- Care of under-18s
- Course design
- Learner management
- Learning resources
- Leisure opportunities

- Student administration
What did other schools score?
