Britain is rich in cultural attractions and world-famous cities, and at Lord Wandsworth College we give our students a taste of these destinations with two full-day trips per week. Our Wednesday excursions are built around a language focus to extend the learning environment outside the four walls of a classroom. On Saturdays, our Activities Leaders take students on an excursion to a different destination, with a tour around a city or entry to a famous attraction. Students research the location prior to the visit and write a report on what they have learnt.
On Sundays, there is an optional excursion (11:00 - 17:00) to local towns and attractions including shopping trips or bowling. There is a small charge for the Sunday excursion of £40 - £50 per student, depending on whether you choose to book in advance or pay upon arrival. You can also choose to stay on campus instead and participate in whole school activities such as a treasure hunt or swimming.
