Social Activities Leaders (SALs) are responsible for overseeing our students during sports and other activities, such as art, music, drama and many other creative activities. SALs also lead groups of students on excursions, help with airport transfers as well as help look after students during student downtime. Experience in any of the above, while desirable, is not essential. Candidates should, however, be able to demonstrate an ability to enthuse and lead groups of teenagers, be able to communicate effectively with learners of English and be willing to try new things. A number of non-residential positions are available to those who live close to Wimbledon School of English.

Key areas of responsibility (residential and non-residential):
- Leading sporting and non-sporting activities and off-site excursions with groups of students with a range of ages, nationalities and communicative ability in English.
- Preparation of activities in line with Summer School Programme requirements.
- Providing or contributing to oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individual students and groups of students.
- Assistance with student welfare.
- Helping to maintain good order and discipline amongst the students and safeguarding their health and safety both when they are on WSE and host school premises and when they are on excursions.
- Attendance at Social Activities Leaders’ and general staff meetings, including regular afternoon meetings with the Juniors Activities Manager.
- All administrative duties connected with the post of Social Activities Leader.

We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable people to join us at WSE Juniors at Wimbledon School of English where we welcome students aged 14 to 17.
The course will run from 25 June to 13 August 2023. We welcome applicants who can work a minimum of four weeks during this time.

Teachers at WSE Juniors Summer Centres take an active role in the life of the school. Candidates should be highly motivated, professional, innovative, and CELTA or Cert TESOL qualified. Applicants should have experience in teaching all levels from A2 to C1, a strong desire to work with children and an interest in contributing to all aspects of the summer centre, including social activities and excursions. We are a strong advocate of continuous professional development and employment will include weekly developmental workshops.
As you will be working with minors, you will be required to provide outstanding pastoral care and work in accordance with the WSE Juniors policy on Safeguarding Young People & Child Protection.

Primary Objectives:
Provision of quality teaching in order to maximise learning of all students, catering for varying levels of student groups. Awareness of the welfare of students. Working as part of a teaching team and supporting team members as appropriate.
In brief:
We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable people to join us at WSE Juniors at Lord Wandsworth College where we host residential students aged 12 to 17. Lord Wandsworth College is located in lovely grounds in a beautiful part of the countryside on the Surrey/Hampshire border. It has excellent sports, classroom and dining facilities, and modern boarding houses. The small town of Hook is only 15 minutes away by road and Basingstoke is about 25 minutes away.
The course will run from 9 July to 5 August 2023, however it would be preferable if you are available from the end of June in order to prepare for the role.

- Weekly salary of £585, as well as including board and lodgings at our centre (7 days/week)

- Non-residential teaching positions are also available with a weekly salary of £495-£540, depending on qualification & experience
