At Wimbledon School of English, we see every day how learning English can open doors, build confidence and change lives. Our students come to London from all over the world to improve their language skills and experience life in one of the world’s most exciting cities.
Now, we are hoping to do something truly special: to bring one extraordinary young boy, Rufus, to London for a once in a lifetime study holiday that could shape his future in ways he has never imagined.
Who Is Rufus?
Since 2014, we have proudly sponsored Rufus through the Thunder Foundation, a charity that supports some of the most vulnerable children in Kenya with education, care and long-term opportunities.
Rufus is an exceptional student. He is highly intelligent, consistently achieves excellent grades, and shows genuine curiosity and motivation. Despite growing up with very limited resources, he works hard at school and makes the most of every opportunity he is given. He is exactly the kind of child whose life can be transformed by the right support at the right time.

Our Dream: Bringing Rufus to London
Our ambition is to raise enough money to bring Rufus to London for an all expenses paid study holiday at Wimbledon School of English.
During his time with us, Rufus would study English at our school with tuition provided free of charge. He would experience British culture first hand, build confidence by travelling internationally for the first time, and see what is possible when hard work meets opportunity.
This would be far more than a language course. It would be a chance to broaden his horizons, inspire his ambitions, and show him just how far his dedication could take him.

What We Need to Fund
While we are delighted to offer Rufus free tuition, we still need to raise funds to cover his flights to and from London, accommodation, food, daily living costs, and local travel and activities.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings this opportunity closer to reality.
