WSE's Got Talent
Last week, the school saw staff and students brave the stage in front of a rapturous audience to show off a wide range of different talents. Hosted by Las Vegas hostess Shirley Divine (aka teacher Tim Goodwin), the competitors showed off skills that don’t usually get a chance to shine during the regular school day. Ably assisted by the green tutu’ed ballerina Yasmin Kulasi, Miss Divine encouraged a wealth of talent on to the Common Room stage.
Highlights of the evening included Giorgio’s beautiful piano piece, our very own Frank Sinatra Vittorio Pelosi, our talented troupe of dancers from Libya, and the grand finale, a recreation of the Love Wimbledon 'Happy' video! There were no losers, as everyone went home a winner with such chocolate to savour. Shirley Divine was overwhelmed by the evening; ‘It was a divine evening,’ she said afterwards. ‘WSE is sparkling with talent!’ A huge thank you to Miss Divine and to our Social Programme Co-ordinator Blanca Rey-Surman for organising such a wonderful event – hopefully these stars will shine again one day very soon!
