Test to Release – Information & Quarantine Offer

• The Test to Release for International Travel scheme is for people who need to self-isolate on arrival in England. Under the scheme you can choose to pay for a private COVID-19 test. If the result is negative, you can stop self-isolating.

• The earliest you can take the test is 5 full days after you left a place not on the travel corridor list.

• The scheme is voluntary and applies to those self-isolating in England only.

• If you do not want to opt into the Test to Release scheme, you will need to self-isolate until 10 full days have passed since were last in a place not on the travel corridors list.

• Passengers arriving into England by plane, ferry or train should book their test before they travel; (you can do this from 48 hours before you arrive in England). You must complete a passenger locator form; and will still need to self-isolate for 5 days before taking a test – rather than taking it at your port of arrival.

To take part in the scheme you need to:

• Book a test with a private test provider
• Choose to opt into the scheme on the passenger locator form
• You will be asked to enter details of your test in the passenger locator form. You must do this to take part in the scheme.
• You should book your test before you travel to England. This is so you can enter details of the test when you opt into the scheme on the passenger locator form.
• If you decide to take part in the scheme after you have arrived in England, you will need to complete another passenger locator form.
• The test provider will either send a test to your address or you can attend a testing site. You may leave your house to post your test or to travel directly to and from the testing site. You should follow safer travel guidance and avoid public transport if possible.

Test to Release Offer – for all courses beginning by 31st March 2021

• We will provide one week’s free hybrid course
• We will cover the cost of the Test to Release test provided:

i. You use one of the providers listed below

ii. You provide us with your test result and receipt of payment

• If the test is negative you will start your in-class study in week 2 of your course
• If the result is positive you will need to quarantine for 10 days. During that time you can join the hybrid classes if you are feeling well, but these will not be free. If you are unwell we will ensure you receive care, and provide your meals according to our quarantine procedures.

20% off all Hybrid Courses at WSE

We are offering a 20% discount off all hybrid courses at WSE. 

Since we re-opened in August, we have been successfully streaming live lessons to students who have had to quarantine on arrival to the UK. This allows students to participate in the school-based lessons virtually from home, then when their quarantine period ends, they can join their class physically.

In 2021, most of our Standard & Intensive school-based courses will also be available as hybrid lessons. It is not just for students who have to quarantine.

Any student can participate in the school-based lesson from home and they will be treated as another member of the class. The hybrid students will take part in some classroom activities, be given tasks and self-study just like the rest of the class.
